Every month, we put one of our Flex workers in the spotlight. For September, that is Krystian Ciura. Krystian works through Flexspecialisten as an Operator at Van Loon in Best, where he takes on a lot of responsibility and shows great commitment every day.
A working day as an Operator
Krystian starts his working day as an Operator by changing into his work clothes. Because of the working environment, he wears special sterile clothing before going to his workstation. There, he prepares the machine for use and makes sure everything is set up correctly.
Throughout the day, he operates and monitors the machine. This comes with a lot of responsibility. The process needs to keep running smoothly, and if something does not go as it should, he needs to act quickly and carefully. This responsibility is exactly what Krystian enjoys about his role. He also sees opportunities to continue developing himself and learning more within his work.
Getting energy from helping others
What Krystian particularly values in his work is the contact with Flexsupport and other Flex workers. He believes it is important not only to focus on his own tasks, but also to pay attention to the people around him.
Helping and supporting other employees gives him energy. When someone has a problem or needs support, he is happy to be there for them. This involvement with others is an important part of his working day.
Krystian is very positive and grateful about his cooperation with Flexsupport. He appreciates being listened to and that people think along with him whenever he needs help. For example, he once needed a day off at short notice due to family circumstances. Although this was unexpected, Flexsupport immediately looked at what was possible and managed to arrange it. For him, this is a good example of how he experiences the cooperation: personal and accessible.
His proudest moment at work
When we asked Krystian whether there was a moment or milestone he was particularly proud of, he did not have to think for long. For him, it was the moment he was named Flex Worker of the Month. It means a lot to him. He had not expected it at all. For Krystian, simply doing his job and doing it as well as possible feels natural. That is exactly why the recognition came as such a big surprise. Knowing that his efforts are noticed and appreciated made the moment even more special for him.
Living in Schaijk
Besides his work, Krystian lives in Schaijk, where his accommodation is arranged through Flexspecialisten. He finds Schaijk a pleasant village, and after a busy working day at Van Loon, he enjoys returning to a place where he can relax and unwind.
The combination of a pleasant living environment and accommodation where he feels comfortable has helped him settle into life in the Netherlands outside of work as well.
A special dream for the future
Krystian has a clear personal goal for the future. His biggest dream is to bring his family to the Netherlands. Alongside his professional development at Van Loon, he is also looking ahead to his life outside of work. Ultimately, he hopes to continue building his future in the Netherlands together with his family.
