At Flexspecialisten, we believe that growth starts with having the courage to take the first step. Sometimes that means moving to another country, sometimes starting a new role, and sometimes both at once. Our Inhouse Intercedent Izabela Wojte’s journey began with a job opportunity in Poland and developed into a career where responsibility, challenges and personal development take centre stage.
Taking a leap into the unknown
When Izabela was looking for a new job in Poland, she came across a Flexspecialisten vacancy for an office-based role as a Coordinator / Flexsupport Specialist in the Netherlands. The opportunity immediately caught her attention. Not only because an office job abroad was a unique opportunity, but also because she already had friends living in the Netherlands.
What started as an adventure in a new country became the beginning of a new professional chapter. An opportunity to gain experience, meet new people and continue developing.
Looking for bigger challenges
In June 2025, Izabela started working at Flexspecialisten as a Coordinator / Flexsupport Specialist. In this role, she worked with several clients and different groups of employees. Although the work was very varied, after some time she felt that she wanted to become more deeply involved in one project.
“I felt like I was doing a little bit of everything, but I couldn’t really dive deep into one area.”
This ambition led her to the position of Inhouse Intercedent at Jumbo Raalte in January 2026. It is a role where she can focus entirely on one client, coordinate a larger group of employees and take on more responsibility for the entire process. The change gave her exactly what she was looking for: more independence, more variety and the opportunity to make a real impact.
No two days are the same
A typical working day for Izabela starts before she even arrives at the office. Her morning always begins with the indispensable weather forecasts from her colleagues. Thanks to them, she usually already knows whether her hairstyle will survive the famous Dutch rain. This is followed by an hour-long journey to the client, accompanied by her favourite Taylor Swift playlist. It is a routine that gives her energy and helps her start the working day on a positive note.
Once she arrives at the client, everything revolves around people. Welcoming employees, answering questions, solving problems and ensuring that the planning matches the client’s needs. Every day, she looks for the right balance between employee availability and the client’s staffing requirements. No day goes exactly according to plan, and that is precisely what makes her work so interesting.
Close to the people and the work process
What Izabela enjoys most is being present at the workplace every day. Sometimes that means working in temperatures that feel like the North Pole, but most importantly, she is always close to both the employees and the day-to-day operations.
By regularly being present on the work floor, she has a clear understanding of what is happening. This allows her to support employees more effectively and respond more quickly to the client’s needs.
Challenges are part of the job
Working with people means dealing with individuals with different backgrounds, personalities and expectations. This makes the job challenging, but also very interesting. Every situation requires a different approach. Being able to listen, look for solutions together and collaborate are important parts of her work. No two days are the same, which keeps the job dynamic.
Growing together
Looking back on her transition into the new role, Izabela particularly appreciates the support she received from her colleagues. She had enough time to get to know the new team and the client’s organisation before taking full responsibility for her new position.
She also highlights the helpfulness of her colleagues and the positive atmosphere within the team as important factors in making the transition successful.
“You are encouraged to learn new things, but you are never left on your own.”
Recognising opportunities and taking them
Her new role has once again confirmed that responsibility, collaboration and working with people are what motivate her most. It has further strengthened her ambition to continue growing within Flexspecialisten and take on new challenges.
For colleagues who also want to develop, she has a clear message:
“Don’t wait until you feel one hundred percent ready. If an opportunity comes along, take it. And if you don’t see any opportunities, start the conversation. Sometimes new opportunities arise simply because you speak up about them.”
Growth is part of our culture
According to Izabela, one of Flexspecialisten’s strengths is the opportunity employees are given to grow. You do not have to remain in the same role for years. Those who are curious, show initiative and are open to new challenges are given the opportunity to take the next step in their careers.
As she puts it:
“Sometimes you’re simply thrown in at the deep end, but always with the right support.”
